Many can’t seem to let go. Millions of people are still buying into the madness of 2020 and want to revert to lockdowns, mask mandates, and shutdowns. I intend to stay six feet away from these people in perpetuity. I don’t want to have anything to do with them.
I’ll never forget anyone who supported this madness. I may also never forgive anyone who supported it. I’ve let go, but forgiving? Nah. These people have done way too much damage to too many people across the globe.
Thank GOD I have plenty of friends who never bought into this nonsense. We’re doing just fine, thank you. Life is good without you in my friend zone.
I like to look for points of agreement, as I think people have more in common than they don't, so I'll start with this: "Many can’t seem to let go." Of course, that includes the mask fanatics and the anti-mask fanatics. As is always the case, the fanatics make up a very small percentage of the population but these days they draw an outsize amount of attention, so videos like this and videos of anti-maskers behaving likewise make the rounds again and again.
I have no regrets for behaving in a manner I thought was prudent for my own safety and the safety of others and I will continue to do so. (That has allowed me to drive for 57 years without ever having an accident for which I was responsible.) Of course, I never poured water on someone for not wearing a mask or for cutting me off in traffic.
It sounds like your beef is with everyone who disagrees with you. I don't really believe that; I think it was just the way you wrote this piece.
I hope we remain friends. I guess that's up to you.
Not to be a crank or a broken record, but everything I have learned about the Fourth Amendment lately, beating back another encroachment, warrantless surveillance absent probable cause, suggests this 'covid' scare has been about targeting probable cause law from every angle from the beginning, and beating it into submission. Show your papers in order, or else everything you have and everything you do becomes subject to search, seizure and warrant. Probable cause goes on the list of banned topics and is soon forgotten.
It's always been about those passports, baby. It's been a big smokescreen of a shock-and-awe introduction so far, and this show won't be finally over, until these people have their setup where all that stands between you and a summary charge and sentence on-scene, is for them to decide to knock at your door.
Read the Fourth, read the decisions on hi-tech surveillance and how every time government goes on trial to uphold its surveillance powers, it's always to look for more of it and remove constraints on it. Due process of law is these people's only enemy, and dismantling freedoms, not only from search and seizure, but more crucially, from issuance of warrant absent probable cause, has always been the pathway to destroying it.
