Bill, one more thought.

I noticed that you said performers could pick up temporary No Parking signs at the local precinct and I assume they're free. I didn't mean to take the generous offer for granted.

Thanks

Dear Bill,

I think it's a good idea to encourage the artists to come out and perform but I do have a question for you.

If I want you to do something is charging you a fee and putting a regulatory burden on you the way to encourage you? How about this? How many minutes would it take you to personally call around to foundation that support the arts (or anyone who might want to polish their image) and raise some private money to subsidize the cost and deal with all the legalities so that the artists, who have been mostly unemployed for a year, could just perform?

I think you can find Partners for Bring Back the Arts campaign. Now,I admit I don't have staff and advisors, but this idea took me a minute. I'm sure you and your administration can come up with a plan that will actually encourage artists.

Nice first idea, just please give it another five minutes of thought.
