The mainstream media and the government need to go. Not by civil war, among the people, as they so valiantly try to foment. But by the people against them. You are correct that we all have so much more in common as Americans, as human beings. I was reflecting on this after Halloween, as everyone in my town happily walked around, trick or treating no matter the political sign in front of the house or any knowledge of what person’s belief system is. Just people, doing people things.
