The Real Grandma Killer - Andrew Cuomo
Will the media finally see this guy for who he really is?
How many of the elderly does one person kill in an average day by walking around maskless outdoors? Does anyone know the answer? Is there science behind it? Where do I go to find the information?
I'm curious because the amount of abuse I've heard and seen from people in the Northeast aimed at "maskless" people makes me feel anyone walking around without one is a mass-murdering-grandma-killer. It makes me wonder, who is more responsible for the deaths of the elderly—a maskless jogger, or ANDREW CUOMO!!
I will attempt to keep my anger at bay in this newsletter since I've covered his malfeasance in-depth in several other pieces. A damming new report released today should finally reveal how awful New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is.
This guy is almost as bad as Trump with shunning responsibility. He has never apologized for any errors or possible mistakes. He only blames others. Cuomo has yet to express sympathy for those who passed away due to his administration's horrific mistakes.
In a New York Times report released today, New York State Attorney General Letitia James has finally confirmed the ugly truth. The Cuomo administration chronically underreported coronavirus-related deaths at nursing homes. The number of nursing home residents who've died from COVID-19 was much higher than Cuomo's administration claimed — most likely 50 percent higher.
"This report seeks to offer transparency that the public deserves and to spur increased action to protect our most vulnerable residents," James said.
This isn't new information. The Associated Press reported in August 2020:
"Unlike every other state with major outbreaks, New York only counts residents who died on nursing home property and not those who were transported to hospitals and died there.
"That statistic could add thousands to the state's official care home death toll of just over 6,600. But so far the administration of Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo has refused to divulge the number, leading to speculation the state is manipulating the figures to make it appear it is doing better than other states and to make a tragic situation less dire."
Andrew Cuomo has been taking a political victory lap for months. Since October, he has been pedaling his fantasy novel "American Crisis: Leadership Lessons from the COVID-19 Pandemic." In the book, he barely mentions the tragic nursing home fiasco and, as usual, shifts blame by using the issue to attack his enemies.
When referring to Republican governors, he wrote, "By early spring, [Republicans] decided to attack Democratic governors and blame them for nursing home deaths. . . . The entire episode was truly despicable. Imagine having lost a loved one in a nursing home. You are already questioning yourself about whether you should have removed them, and then you hear their life was lost because of a government blunder."
There should be a serious reexamination of Cuomo's performance during the Covid-19 pandemic. Cuomo lied to protect himself and blamed many of New York's issues on Trump and the federal government. He must be held accountable.
How about a recount like the residents of California are attempting with their inept governor, Gavin Newsom? Unfortunately, there is no mechanism for that in New York State. I have been advocating for the New York State Legislature to remove the governor's emergency powers for months. Thankfully, they automatically expire on May 1, 2021.

I could go on and on. He’s the WORST!
