We now have a society where in many states, governors and mayors are closing down parks, beaches, restaurants, bars, barbers, public restrooms, etc. Several have mandated the wearing of face masks and subsequently sparked division between residents who wear them and don’t. There are now 40 million people suddenly unemployed, in a span of about 10 weeks. The world watched the brutal murder of four police taking part in the killing of a man, for no reason - with one officer keeping his knee on his neck for 10 minutes and intentionally suffocating him. We have a president having a personal war with a social media company. Two days later he uses that same company to write tweets about shooting people, and the next day they put a virtual face mask on his tweets. Congress is debating on how they can deny people money they’ve been depending on since they were forced NOT to work back in March. It’s not because people are lazy and quit their jobs, the reality is, they were forced to stay home by the same governors who are stirring up more trouble by extending lockdowns and mandating masks.
In a few weeks summer will hit. Things will heat up literally and figuratively. This is a perfect storm. Expect more civil unrest & looting as lockdowns increase. It is going to be a crazy next few months.
Given the lack of checks and balances in recent history, maybe people have reached a boiling point. These kinds of things happen when people’s rights are continuously violated.
At this moment, these Minneapolis officers are feeling the fear they often inflict upon the public every single day. These officers are running for their lives.
