The Beginning Of The End Of CHAZ/CHOP
After four people were shot and one died, this was inevitable.
Seattle Police are reclaiming their east precinct this morning. After almost a month of a takeover of the City’s Capitol Hill neighborhood, the city began moving into the area Wednesday making several arrests. The zone, initially known as Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone (CHAZ) and now called Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (Chop), was formed in the wake of the tragic death of George Floyd. Since it’s founding, the area has been the scene of four shootings that resulted in two fatalities and has reportedly seen multiple incidents of sexual assault, violence, and robberies.
I guess after the protesters decided to take the madness to the mayor's home, she had enough. She once said that this could be the ‘summer of love.’
This is happening now:
