Environmentalists glue themselves to a VW dealer floor, get stuck, and complain about being glued.
These scientists are terrible rebels.
Nine scientists glued themselves to the floor of the Autostadt Volkswagen facility in Germany to protest climate change but wound up getting stuck. The activists were from the ‘Scientist Rebellion’ and broke into the museum and car showroom opposite VW's main factory in Wolfsburg, Germany on Wednesday night, October 19th. They glued themselves to the floor and vowed to continue the protest until Volkswagen agreed to begin decarbonizing the transportation industry.
The VW facility allowed the protest to continue for as long as they wanted, but problems began when the protesters started to complain after the dealer locked the doors, switched off the heating and lights, and left for the evening. The agitators became agitated about the carmaker's neglect. The next day, the scientists demanded a bowl to urinate and dedicate in decently while glued.
Some of the activists were fighting a hunger strike but others wanted to order food.
After complaints of swollen hands and possible life-threatening blood clots that could form because of their position, they agreed to leave. They were arrested, and their poorly planned protest ended.
At least VW saved the planet that evening by turning off the lights and shutting off the heat, right? If I were in charge, I would have pumped in music like 'Baby Shark' on a continuous loop to keep them entertained.
